WARNING: This is a SPOLIER filled podcast! Because, honestly, how else can you talk about one of the most anticipated films in recent times? J.J. Abrams has taken over the helm from George Lucas to create a sequel worthy of the originals. With John Williams manning the score, practical effects back in the frame, and humour amongst the drama, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most fun you'll have at the cinema, whether your a Star Wars fanatic or a newcomer to the franchise. With the original cast of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford joined by the fresh faces of Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Issac, we delve into this space opera and come up with a few of our own theories, as well as a break down of the good and the bad (but mainly good) of Star Wars Episode 7.

After George Lucas' masterstroke with the original trilogy, just what exactly went wrong with Darth Vader's backstory? We examine the script, the acting and the CGI of the prequels in our last episode before finally getting to talk about the latest in the series, The Force Awakens.

Can you believe that Layla has got to adulthood without ever seeing Star Wars? Crazy, but with The Force Awakings coming to cinema's very soon, we thought it was right time to address this problem. Focusing on the orginal 1977-1983 trilogy, Richee introduces Layla to the story and the characters, and we discuss what makes these films so iconic, as well as the CGI that was added to the 2004 re-edit. But the real question is: did Layla enjoy it? Find out in our Star Wars special.

Fed up of the usual sickly sweet films distributed at Christmas? Well, Michael Dougherty's Krampus may be the film for you. Based on the once banned Alpine folklore beast, Krampus see's the horned god and his minions punish a family who loose the Yuletide spirit. With a foray of comedic actors, including Adam Scott, Toni Collette and David Koechner, as well as Emjay Anthony as the young Max, whose woes cause all their troubles, we look into this comedy-horror to see what worked and what didn't. Don't forget to stick around after the song, as we delve deeper into spoiler territory and discuss the film's ending.
