The hugely popular film franchise, based on the books by Suzanne Collins, comes to an end with this fourth film, directed by Francis Lawrence. Katniss finally gets to take her revenge on the evil President Snow, but what kind of world is she leading everyone to, especially when she's got the slightly dubious Alma Coin backing her. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland, Julianne Moore and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, we look at the influence of the series, as well as questioning whether it was successful or not.

Finally out to own on DVD, we review ex-Beta Band member John Maclean's first full length film Slow West. Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee as a teenager heading west to find his lost love and Micheal Fassbender as his hard-edged bodyguard for hire, Slow West gives us sly knowing wink to the Western genre, with hints of surreal humour to the brutal violence and isolation commonly associated with cowboy films.
